Born Mohamed Said Ngana in the coastal town of Watamu near Malindi, Mr. Bado comes from a deeply musical lineage. He is the son of the legendary Mwanzele composer Nyerere wa Konde. Raised surrounded by the distinct sounds of the Swahili coast, Bado developed a passion for traditional rhythms such as Mwanzele, Chakacha, and Taarab from an early age.

His signature sound blends traditional Mijikenda and Swahili acoustic instruments with modern keyboards, syncopated afro-pop grooves, and lilting Swahili poetry.
