English Access Scholarship Program

The English Access Scholarship Program is a U.S. Embassy Nairobi-funded initiative implemented locally by Ketebul Music to build English language and business skills among 25 young music professionals in Kisumu. The nine-month course, fully sponsored by the U.S. Department of State through its Regional English Language Office, was officially launched at Dunga Hill Camp in Kisumu. It is designed for singers, rappers, DJs, dancers, producers, sound engineers, band managers, and other young creatives. Selected through a competitive recruitment process that drew 63 applicants, the 25 learners participate in intensive sessions focused on expanding their language proficiency, professional communication, and capacity to commercialize their creative craft.
